Matt,
So sorry too hear of you're leaving this life. You truly were a force to be reckoned with. You brought so much laughter, humor, and good vibes to my life in the years that I was blessed to know you. Helping you and Mary pick paint colors, to sitting on a bar stool listening to you talk about the love of you're family. You knew they held you high and how they all made you proud ! You were always a bright light to everyone that had the pleasure of having you in their lives.
I will miss you and all the smiles that you brought to so many. As for you're amazing wife, I will be there in any way she might need me. The most important...no more suffering, and no more pain for you.

Mary,
We are heartbroken at the news of Matt's passing. He was a person that could light up a room when he entered. We are so blessed that we got to see Matt last December. We will keep you and your entire family in our prayers during this extremely difficult time.

I worked with Matt as the commander of the U.S. Marshals violent fugitive task force which was created with the Polk County Sheriffs Office. Matt was a character to say the least and a fine investigator. He will be missed. May god bless and keep him and his loved ones.
