Mark Richard Gravitt

Mark Gravitt, age 56, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. He was born the son of Richard and Marie Gravitt on November 2, 1967, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Mark was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Chicago Bears. He loved watching the Big Bang Theory and obsessively cleaning his car. Above all else, Mark treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Angela Gravitt, daughters Nikki (Trent) Gravitt, Kali (Mike) Gravitt, and Savannah Gravitt, grandchildren Eric, Kayden, Catrina, and Carson, brother Rod (Fran) Gravitt, many nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and many special friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife Shari Gravitt.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW in Altoona, with visitation of friends and family one hour prior to the service, beginning at 5 p.m.
