The day I met Maddie we became friends instantly, I was super shy and she was super friendly. I remember riding my bike to her house almost every day in the summer and every weekend. Countless sleepovers. We would watch Hannah Montana, sweet life of Zach and Cody, wizards of waverly place, and high school musical. We usually would have some sort of craft to do, Maddie always had the best ideas when it came to crafts. We would spend hours making things out of clay, glitter, paper, rhinestones, and the kitchen table was always full of our crafts. Wesley would play Wii sports and Maddie was so competitive with even sports on the Wii! We would come up with dances and gymnastics routines. More like she would teach me! She was so creative. We would use the couch as a jungle gym. We painted the basement wall pink for a club we came up with and got in trouble for it. We would roller skate, bike ride, electric scooter, and play outside all day. She was always showing me new tricks on the trampoline and playing softball even though I didnt know how to play. We would bring our radio and cds outside and blare music as we danced and played in the front yard. We went to high school football games and the socials after. We went to the cheetah girls concert together and although I was so shy I remember watching Maddie sing and dance her little heart out. She was never afraid to dance and have fun. We would play hide and seek tag in the dark and wake up her parents every time.. we played dogs on the ds for hours at night and it was so fun. We would always walk our ds dogs together, although looking back idk why that was so fun! I remember pretending to be famous and having imaginary boyfriends. I remember staying the night at her grandparents and sneaking into the fitness area while we were supposed to be sleeping. I remember dressing up in her old dance costumes. I remember how she always managed to get hurt, probably because she was always attempting new tricks. She was always loyal to her friends. She was so full of love. She was incredibly smart and very good at math. She would help me figure out math problems better than the teacher. She was funny and creative. She had the brightest smile and her laugh is forever engraved in my heart. I remember her love for purple and Hawkeyes and softball. In all my years of knowing her I dont think I ever heard her talking down about someone. She was always quick to help someone. She was always an includer. The memories could go on forever. We would call each other to hang out and I still have her old number memoriezed. Most of all I remember that she was always a good friend to me, we grew apart as we got older but she has forever been one of the best friends I have ever had. The lord blessed me tremendously by giving me a friend like her. She helped me break out of my shy shell. She was truly such a special person. Most of my favorite memories from my childhood involve Maddie. And my heart goes to you. May you find comfort in the memories. May you find comfort in knowing that the Lord is cradling her now and that she is shining her big smile in heaven. The angels are rejoicing and the Lord RAN to her. Shes in pure bliss although on earth we are suffering. Shawna and Kelly. I am so sorry. I will forever remember your sweet Maddie. Ill be praying the Lord would give you comfort and peace.

Maddie was one of my best friends growing up. We were constantly at each others house. From watching disney shows as we flipped over the side of the couch, making dance routines, painting the basement pink for our club, roller scaring, swimming, swinging on the swingset, jumping on the trampoline, getting nailed with a softball because I didnt know how to play and Maddie insisted we play. Imaginary boyfriends and pretending we were famous. High school musical parties. Crafts. The cheetah girls concert. Playing at recess on the monkey bars. She was the toughest tiny girl! Countless memories My heart goes to Shawna, Kelly, and Dillon. Sending you all big hugs. And your grandma. Heaven gained an incredible person. May you all be comforted and given peace that can only come from the Lord. Im so sorry.

I worked as an associate in Maddie's class all through school, and although I didn't know her well, I remember she seemed quiet, but was an energetic girl who liked to play sports and have fun. She always had plenty of friends around her and was kind to everyone. I always thought she had such beautiful brown eyes. Our family's hearts break for you and pray for you as you walk through this terrible loss.
