Madison Christine Anderson
September 15, 1997 — November 10, 2024
Madison Christine Anderson, 27, of Des Moines, IA passed away on Sunday November 10, 2024.
Madison was born on September 15th, 1997, in Des Moines, the daughter of Tim Anderson and Christy Nelson.
Madison, also known as Maddie, Punkin, Mad, was always fiercely loyal and devoted to those she loved. To know Maddie was to know generosity with the biggest heart to give to others. She was honest, caring, a little sassy and absolutely hilarious with the best one-liners that could make a whole room laugh. She had a huge love for cats, especially her own Bo and Dolly who could always be found cuddling right next her, and in about 80% of the pictures she took.
Maddie was a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who was genuinely and unequivocally herself. We carry her with us in our hearts and lives trying to show the same amount of generous love she gave to others.
Madison is survived by her parents, Tim (Heather) Anderson and Christy (Bruce) Nelson; her siblings, Mark (Nikki) Anderson and Kara (Adam) Bockenstedt; and her niece and nephews, Keaton, Blakely, and Aidan; along with her grandparents, Lloyd and Pat Anderson and Jan and Richard Wall. She was predeceased in death by her Grandpa Bernard Ulin, and her loved cousin Michael "Mikey" Knapp.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, IA with visitation one hour prior. Private family burial at Glendale Cemetery.

There are no words for me to say that will offer any true comfort to Maddie’s family during this time, however, the one sentence I will forever cherish in my own heart that brings me comfort is something my father once said to me.
“Always remember the happy times.”
With all of the love in my heart,
