Myron “Turk” Eugene Turkington, age 76, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Myron was born May 30, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa to Carlton and Lucille (Elifritz) Turkington.

He was a window builder, employed by Windsor Windows for about 20 years, and then for Shelter Windows.

Baseball was a passion of Myron’s. One of his favorite pastimes was taking his sons to baseball games. He was a devoted family man and loved being involved with his sons in Boy Scouts, and was so proud to watch his grandson play baseball.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; sons, J.R. (Lora) Legg and Doug (Jennie) Turkington; grandson, Gavin Legg; sister, Janie Loveless; and other extended family and friends.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Lucille Turkington.

According to Myron’s wishes, cremation will occur and there will be no formal services held at this time.
