Michelle Ogburn, 66, passed away on September 5, 2023 at her home.
Michelle was born October 27, 1956, in Bancroft, Minnesota to her parents Dorothy Polson and Ted Borowski. Michelle grew up in Fort Dodge and moved to Des Moines at a young age, where she met her husband, Dave, of 35 years.
Michelle was employed at Wells Fargo for 27 years, where she recently retired on August 31, 2023. Michelle was an active member of Christian Life Church in Des Moines for the last 4 years. Michelle loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Her family was her passion, and she was beloved by many people. She touched the hearts of many with her generosity and had a warm and comforting soul that will never be forgotten.
Michelle is survived by her husband, David Ogburn; children, Jeremy (Beth) Kubli, Marcy (Jared) Amundson, and Greg (Jen) Walker; and grandchildren, Josie, Michael, Rylee, Dominic, Shawn, Alex, Kaleb, Paige, Cami, and Connor.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Polson; father, Ted Borowski; and siblings Charlene, Guy Kubli, and Becky Markley.
Funeral services will be held at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation prior, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, immediately following services.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Sheepgate of Colfax in loving memory of Michelle Ogburn.
