Mary Jo Albers of Des Moines, Iowa was born September 19, 1934, to Robert B. and Alice B. (Brown) Albers. She worked as an administrative assistant during her working years. Mary Jo passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at age 89 at her home at Valley View Village while under the care of Hospice of the Midwest.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Albers (Aleen); nieces, Jeanette Champion (Kevin) and Wendi Young (Brandon); and nephew, Scott Albers (Angela). Mary Jo was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Albers and her brothers, Gene and Robert Albers.

I am sorry for your loss. There is no doubt where she is now.
I think of your family often, with fondness. If you don't recognize
the name, I lived across the street from you on Pioneer Dr. and
worked with Wendy, Larry you are the one that helped me get that
job and get back on my feet. Forever Grateful.

Mary Jo was a dear friend to my parents - Gary and Vicki. They shared many meals with great conversation while in assisted living and very much enjoyed each other’s company. More recently, Mary Jo would ask to visit my parents after church services each Sunday. She will be greatly missed.
