Michael Henderson

Michael Eugene Henderson, age 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Trinity Center Luther Park while under the care of Suncrest Hospice.

Mike was born January 15, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa to his beloved mother, Lottie Sue Henderson, who precedes him in death. Mike has been a resident of the Des Moines area his entire life. He attended Easterseals and Goodwill Day Programs for over 20 years. Mike was a movie collector and especially loved westerns, Marvel movies, and the Power Rangers. His favorite outings were going to the movies or out for a burger. One of his most prized memories was a vacation he took to Las Vegas. Mike enjoyed going to Iowa Cubs games and was an Iowa Hawkeye fan, but not football!

There will be a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2023, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Oralabor Cemetery in Ankeny, Iowa.
