Marcella “Sally” Elaine Ansley, age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Trinity Center at Luther Park while under the care of Suncrest Hospice.

Sally was born March 28, 1933, in Seymour, Iowa to Mike Otis Stout and Janie Belle (Stewart) Stout. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines. She married Donald Joe Ansley and had been a resident of the Des Moines area since 1972. Sally had a successful and varied career, holding many professional positions that took her all around the world, enabling her to live in different places in the United States and overseas. She eventually retired from Kirke-Van Orsdel in 1992.

She is survived by her sister, Nola D. Stout of West Des Moines, sister-in-law, Marvel Williamson of Kansas, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Ansley; siblings, Mike Stout, Harold Stout, Sara Childress, and Charlesene W. Stout; and her parents, Mike and Janie Stout.

Graveside service will take place at Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
