Lisa Louise Dennis, a woman of unmatched wit and creativity, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, she attended North High School and earned her Associate's Degree from DMACC. Most recently Lisa was the secretary at Union Park United Methodist Church.

Lisa loved crafts, from crochet to diamond art, and her humor brightened even the quirkiest situations. A constant optimist, she always saw the best in people.

She is survived by her son, Donny Perry, her brother, Lance Phipps, and her nieces, Nikki Morris, Andrea Wyant, and Sarah Middleswart. Her family cherished her dry humor and articulate conversations.

Her memorial service will be held at Union Park United Methodist Church at 2305 E. 12th St in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. Lisa requested a colorful celebration of her life, asking attendees not to wear black.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church.

Lisa's humor, creativity, and optimism will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
