Linda Marie Fessler

Linda Fessler, 80, passed away on January 16, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born on June 3, 1945, to Dean and Lillian Boyce in Des Moines and lived her entire life in Iowa.

She graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1963 and married Robert Fessler in 1967. Together, they had two children. Linda worked for many years in retail clothing sales and later as a Master Tax Advisor for H&R Block from 1984 until her retirement in 2018.

Linda’s greatest joys included traveling, attending the Iowa State Fair, finding the perfect gift for others, anything related to Elvis, and spending time with her friends, children, and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness, her deep love of family, her ability to see the beauty and good in everyone, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Mikki) Fessler and Renee (Jerry) Prew; her grandchildren, Alec (Paige), CJ, Connor, Camron, and Liam; and her great-grandsons, Adriel and Jaxon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean Boyce and Lillian Boyce Robinson; and her siblings, Bonnie Lou, Donna, and Donald.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa. Visitation will take place prior to the service, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Linda.
