Linda Lee Corbett

Linda Lee Corbett, 77, passed away on February 1, 2024, after enduring a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. At her passing, Linda was living and being cared for at Fleur Heights Care Center in Des Moines. Linda was surrounded by her loved ones as she was called home to be with our Lord.

Born Linda Lee Cook on December 13, 1946, the fifth child of Serena and Frank Cook, Sr. Linda’s memories of growing up in Commerce, Iowa surrounded by family were some of her fondest and most lasting memories.

Linda is survived by her five children, sons, Robert Veach (Junnia), Scott Veach, Lyle Veach II (Billie Jo), Frank Veach, and daughter, Lori Langos (Shane); seven grandsons, Jacob Taylor, Jesse Moss, Devon Veach, Cody Veach, Stone Veach, Mitchell Langos and Chase Langos; five great-grandchildren, Greyson Taylor, Orion Taylor, Emery Taylor, Jameson Moss and Paisley Veach; her beloved sister, Marie Cooney; and beloved brother, Billy Cook.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband - the love of her life, David Corbett; her parents; an infant son, Philip Yaw; and three siblings, Frank Cook, Jr., Roberta Ogburn, and Sandra Jorgensen.

Linda was outgoing and never met a stranger. Her professional life found her in the field of hospitality where she was right at home.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa with visitation from 9 to 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines.
