He found joy in helping his children on projects and working outdoors. He was a proud American who cherished the sight of the American flag and what it represented. He was stern when needed, committed to raising a strong family guided by values and love. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite sports teams. He was a lifelong Iowa Hawkeye fan. Many family memories were made by sharing these passions.

He will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, craftsman, and family man whose steady presence and strong character shaped generations. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply.
