Larry W. Bresley

Larry William Bresley, age 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2023, at his home in Des Moines, Iowa.

Larry was born May 11, 1949 to Earl and Grace (Lint) Bresley in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a life-long resident of the Des Moines area and was employed in the Construction Trades as a painter.

He served his country proudly by doing a tour over in Vietnam during the War.

He enjoyed being out in nature, watching old western movies and detective shows, and playing cards. Until his last breath, he was a hustler and a fighter. He was an amazing dad and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his children, Grant (Somphiane) Bresley, Jeanie (Kristopher) Bresley, Sophie Cole and Rodney Hill; grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Jaycee Ware, Kristian Robertson, Kameon, Dycen, Piercin, Skylar and Katana; siblings, Carol (Benny) Agee, Sherry, Mike, Mark, Earl (Suzanne), and Jim (Kim) Bresley; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Apollo.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Norman Bresley, Lorraine Bresley, Timothy Bresley, Trina Gomez and Bobbie Henderson.

Celebration of Life visitation will take place from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2023 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, 6567 Bloomfield Road in Des Moines.
