LiaBeth Grace Goldbeck

September 05, 2018 — December 31, 2023

Service Details

We welcomed LiaBeth Grace Goldbeck into our lives on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at noon. She was welcomed into the presence of the Lord forever on December 31, 2023.

LiaBeth was like no other. She was loving, peaceful, content at all times, and super silly. She knew what she wanted and she knew what she didn't want, and there wasn't much you could do to convince her otherwise. She was our little negotiator: when asked to do something she didn't prefer, she'd often respond with, "how about..." and then a modified version of what she was asked to do. Of course, we couldn't help but let her lead. She was the "boss" of our home and of our hearts.

She exuded peace and wanted nothing but to share and love on others. When we welcomed two bonus children into our home, she embraced them so naturally and so quickly. She became the best big and little sister, but she never let us think that it didn't mean she didn't still rule the house...and rightfully so. She was never jealous or envious; never materialistic or greedy. She was content with anything and every situation. She was perfect. She taught us so much about life and how we should live. She was a real reflection of Christ's love in our lives.

We will miss everything about her. We will grieve all the moments we don't get to share with her on earth. We will wonder how we keep on living without her here telling us what to do and showing us how to live. We take comfort, however, knowing that someday we will see, hold and be with her again in heaven.

LiaBeth loved and is loved by so many, especially us, her siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents. She precedes us all to heaven. She will forever live in our hearts until we are reunited.

Baby girl, we love you beyond words. Peb hlub koj.

LiaBeth unexpectedly left us with little to no warning signs after suffering a cardiac arrest. She appeared to be healthy and had a happy Christmas with family.

We will remember LiaBeth in so many ways and share in her heart of giving. She was able to give another chance at life to two others through organ donation. In her honor and in lieu of flowers, you may:
• Donate Nyiaj Tshav Ntuj (Sunshine fund to offset the cost of the funeral)
• Donate to the LiaBeth Giving Fund that the family will use through the years to give towards other families in need.
• Donate to Walk with You, a nonprofit organization that walks with families who experience the loss of a child.

Donations can be made in person at her service, through Venmo to: @JoshGoldbeck; Paypal to: @PVang277 or if donating to Walk with You, directly through their website.

All are welcome to attend her memorial service on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Walnut Creek Church – Windsor Heights, 900 64th St, Windsor Heights, IA 50324. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45 AM. The service will start at 11:00 AM. A meal will be shared at noon. A private family burial at Ames Municipal Cemetery will follow the meal.

The family requests that you wear formal clothing to the service. Children are encouraged to wear their favorite Sunday bests. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed through the link below:
