Kurt Beane

Kurt Alan Beane, 75, passed away on November 4, 2024 at his home in Des Moines, Iowa.

He was born April 18, 1949 in Las Vegas, Nevada but made Des Moines, Iowa his home for over 40 years. Kurt graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a degree in Chemistry. For most of his working life, he was employed by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship as a Chemist in the Pesticide Laboratory.

Kurt is survived by his loving wife, Jan; and her brother and sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Artelle Hinkson Payne and Ralph Snyder Beane.

No public services are planned at this time. Family will hold a private inurnment at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Iowa Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association

So sorry for your loss. Although we haven't seen each other for decades, I still have many fond memories of our working together and outings. May God watch over you during this time of sorrow and know that Kurt is with Him in heaven.
