King Arthur Goulet (born Clyde Raymond Gullet), 88, of Grimes, Iowa died May 31, 2026 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

King was born on January 10, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, to Henry and Irma Gullet. He enjoyed a long and successful career as an electrical engineer, retiring at the age of 75. An avid pilot, King earned his pilot’s license and loved spending his free time flying. He also had a passion for West Coast swing dancing and was a dedicated student of the United States Constitution.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia (Cecil) Compton; children, David (Paola) Gullet, Daniel (Chau) Goulet, Jill (Ovi) Rosales, and Michelle Zeliadt; grandchildren, David Gullet Jr., Sara (Justin) Urkoski, John Goulet, Stephen Baker, Crystal (Tim) Senne, Daniel Rosales, Seth Rosales, Megan Zeliadt, Delia Zeliadt, and Xander Zeliadt; and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 1001 S. James Street in Grimes, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project as King was a long-time supporter of both organizations.
