Kevin Winfield Tallman

Kevin Winfield Tallman, 46, died unexpectedly on October 14, 2025 of heart failure. An open house to honor Kevin will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 12 to 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA.

Kevin was born April 14, 1979 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA to Jane (Gill) and David Tallman. He became an avid skier and snowboarder as a child during family vacations to numerous western ski resorts. Shortly after high school graduation he moved to Breckenridge, Colorado, where he was able to ski regularly.

Kevin met his wife, Meagan, while in Colorado and the couple later settled back in Des Moines where Kevin became an electrician. He generously put his skills to work helping family and neighbors while asking little in return.

He is survived by his parents, David and Jane Tallman; brother, Matt Tallman; wife, Meagan Tallman; father-in-law, Mark Manroe; mother-in-law, Candace Ord Manroe; brothers-in-law, Drew Manroe and Sam Kascoutas; sister-in-law, Reesa Manroe; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Gloria Tallman and Richard and Laura Gill; and cousins, Lena Hempel and Luke Tallman.
