Kyle Elizabeth (Scott) Farmer, age 65, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, May 27, 2024.

Kyle was born to James and Donna Scott in Portland, Oregon on December 27, 1958. She graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines. She obtained her nursing degree from Methodist School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse, recently retiring from Care Initiatives as a hospice nurse.

Her favorite place to be was with her family. She loved road trips to Ft. Myers Beach, Florida and any family vacation with her kids. Kyle loved her grandkids and enjoyed taking them fishing and to zoos all across the Midwest. She liked gardening and spending time tending to her yard. She collected knick-knacks and seashells. She will be remembered fondly for her creative, and sometimes hideous birthday cakes for the grandkids, each year a challenge to outdo last year’s cake.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Andy Farmer, son Greg (Miranda), daughter Kelsie, grandkids Antonio and Adeline, sister Paula Dent (Mike), and brother Eric Scott (Leanne).

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a private family celebration of life at a later date.
