Kenneth Baker

Kenneth E. Baker, 68, of Des Moines, IA, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024.

Kenny was born August 12, 1956, in Des Moines, Iowa, the third of seven children born to Burton and Beverly (Green) Baker.

Kenny enjoyed helping people in ways he could, and collecting baseball cards. During his younger days, he enjoyed spending time fishing and camping. He had a lifelong love of Elvis Presley’s music and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Sandy, children Rick Vogel, Heather Mohler, Jamie Vandermark, Todd Baggs, Jeremy Mohler, Kori Richardson, Danny Weir, Cody Baker, and Jesse Baker, brothers Floyd Baker, Dan Baker, Bob Baker, Russ (Liz) Baker, and Jim Kendrick, 30 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Ron Eldridge, and sister Tammy Rice.

No service is planned. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
