Judith "Judi" Ann Ferguson

Judith “Judi” Ann Ferguson, 75, of Georgetown, Texas, formerly of West Des Moines, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025.

Born Judith Ann Vanordstrand in Ames, Iowa, on April 28, 1949, Judi grew up in Indianola and graduated from Indianola High School in 1967. She married Jerry Ferguson on July 5, 1969, and together they shared 55 wonderful years.

Judi had a long and meaningful career in healthcare, working as an X-Ray Technician, Radiation Therapist, and later as an Ophthalmic Assistant at Des Moines Eye Surgeons. She was a longtime member of Windsor United Methodist Church in Des Moines. She loved traveling, daily lap swimming, cruising, playing Mah Jong, playing table games, antiquing, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughters, Kasey (Andrew) Gilliam, Nicole (Patrick) Mullenix, and Elizabeth (Christopher) Bowles; grandchildren, Maggie, Courtney, Ella, Joe, Matthew, Cain, Charlie, McCoy, and Ledger; and her sisters, Sue Sullivan and Doris Vanordstrand.

A visitation will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. An interment of cremated remains is not planned at this time.
