Juan Munoz Munoz

Juan Munoz Munoz, age 69, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Juan was born January 5, 1957, to Pedro and Teodula Munoz. He was hardworking and took pride in a job well done. He liked motorcycles and watching soccer. Juan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His family was his first priority and he loved spending time with them, including his dogs, Charlie and Tail. Juan will be greatly missed. He was the jokester of the family and he will be remembered for all the times he brought joy to people and made them laugh.

He is survived by his children, Sharalyn Sleeping Bear, Garrison Little Bald Eagle, Pedro (Valentina) Munoz, Juan Munoz, and Francisco Munoz; grandchildren, Keanu, Cristina, Diesel, and Juan Luis; sisters, Maria, Estella and Martha as well as other sisters; brother, Galdino; and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Juan was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Munoz; brother, Placido; parents, Pedro and Teodula Munoz; daughter, Te Amo; and grandson, T. Jiovannie.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3301 Ashworth Road, West Des Moines, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery after the service.
