Johnny Patrick Davenport, 67, passed away November 2, 2023 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

He was born March 16, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa to his parents, Bill and Shirley (Bacon) Davenport. Johnny graduated from North Highschool and later went on to earn his Teaching Degree from Grandview University. He worked in loss prevention for the majority of his working life. Johnny married Karla (Hendrickson) Davenport and converted to Catholicism. He enjoyed music, dogs, and watching sports but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karla; children, Patricia (Bobby) Jay, Joshua (Emma Cooper) Davenport, Aaron (Amber) Davenport, Adam (Leah) Davenport; grandchildren, Jacob, Kaelynn, Noah, Faith, Daniel, Emily, Jane, Oliver, Delta, and Erica; brother, Bill (Amy) Davenport; uncle, Bob Cook; and a host of other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Tommy Davenport.
