Jennifer Lee Bauman, 52, passed away on January 6, 2024 from brain cancer.
Jennifer was born June 28, 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa to her parents, Gerald and Esther Bauman. She worked at Optimae LifeServices for many years and loved caring for her clients. Jennifer enjoyed Reba McEntire and Mark Wahlberg. She enjoyed her grandchildren, casinos, cleaning and celebrating Holidays with the people she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Payne; children, Amber (Steven) King, Lori Dalton, and Bobby (Chelsea) Dalton; grandchildren, Mytice, Isis, Jaelon, Corleon, Joshua, Alexzander, and Oliver; and a host of other loving family members.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Esther Bauman; grandson, King; sister, Shirley Hesseltine; brothers, Stephen Mayer and Gordan Mayer; and nephew, Allen Fisher.
Family will greet friends on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 N.W. 60th Avenue Des Moines, Iowa. Memorial service will be held the following day, Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. also at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

My condolence to Jennifers family. Jennifer was the sweetest person I know and will always be remembered and missed dearly. I worked side by side with her for years and she loved helping people especially her guys! We confined in each other and she had a heart of gold.
