James Collins III, 44, passed away at his home on March 15, 2025.
James was born on July 22, 1980 in Mauston, Wisconsin to James and Lynette (Taylor) Collins II. He graduated from Lincoln High School. James started working for TMC Transportation as an appearance technician in 2000, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved sports and was an avid Iowa State Cyclone, Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. James loved to play video games and paintball. He also enjoyed traveling.
James is survived by his parents, James and Lynette Collins II; sister, Jennifer Collins; nephews, Colby, Daniel and Joseph; and his dogs, Milo, Tazer and Tank.
The family will greet friends Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. James will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Tunnels to Towers Foundation in loving memory of James.

So very sorry to hear of the loss of your son James. I know from past conversations how much you loved him and how dedicated you both were. I can’t imagine the pain one must feel in losing a child. But the love you were able to show him was special.
