Judi Ann Wilson, 83, of Des Moines passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Judi was born February 19, 1941, in Des Moines, Iowa to Dorothy Wilson and Ed Pickett, Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines.

On March 15, 1957, she married Jack G. Wilson, Sr., and together they had three children: Jack Jr., Vicki and Ricky.

Judi was a longtime Dahl’s Foods employee and worked many years for the City of Des Moines as a school crossing guard. She loved helping and being around children. Judi loved camping and fishing with her family. She enjoyed family vacations and traveling. She loved gardening, flowers, her pet squirrels, and especially her companion and best furry friend, LuLu.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jack; son, Jack Wilson, Jr. of Des Moines; daughter, Vicki Wilson of Omaha, NE; and son, Ricky (Kendra) Wilson of Norwalk. Judi is also survived by three granddaughters, Shelbi, Macee, and Jewels Wilson; great-grandson, Robert Wilson; brothers, Denny and Larry Wilson; along with several nieces and nephews.

Judi was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Craig Wilson, and her brother, Ed Pickett, Jr.

There will be a private family burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
