JoAnne Wilkison, age 89, passed away in the early hours of Monday, April 1, 2024.

JoAnne was born May 20, 1934, in Osceola, Iowa to Lloyd and Twyla Cline. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to all those who knew her. She was a volunteer at Iowa Methodist for over 20 years, an avid reader, and the biggest supporter of her granddaughter. Sierra was her light in life, her yellow rose.

She is survived by her daughter Roberta Gilbert, granddaughter Sierra Gilbert, granddog Fireball, and sister-in-law Linda Cline.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Twyla Cline, husband Robert E., son Robert D., son in law Richard Gilbert, and her siblings Margret Willett, Bobby Cline, Danny Cline and Peggy Cline.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. A private family burial to come later. Contributions may be directed to the family.
