JaLameshia Ciarra Caldwell Shook, passed away on May 16, 2024 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

JaLameshia was born on May 13, 2002 to Shane and Ylonda Shook in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Lincoln high school during the pandemic in 2020. She enjoyed spending time with her cat, Kit and her partner, Logan but most of all she was looking forward to becoming a mother.

JaLameshia is survived by her parents, Shane and Ylonda; siblings, Isaia, Robert, Shantelia and Cass; grandmother Shelia Mickens; and other extended loving family and many, many great friends.

Waiting to welcome her home were her maternal grandfather, Robert Mickens; uncle, Robin Mickens; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Bush; and aunt, Cama Renae Collier. Joining her two days later, was her son, Silas Rome Scharnberg.

A private service will be held for family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in loving memory of Jalameshia.

Goodbye, my precious girl - I know you and your son Silas are up in heaven now, waving down to us with cheeky grins on your beautiful faces.
