Joyce L. Morrow

Joyce LaVonne Morrow, 72, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025.

Joyce was born June 11, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa to Galen and Nancy (Smith) Morrow.

She worked as a waitress for Jesse’s Embers in Des Moines.

She was a member of AmVets Post II Auxiliary.

She enjoyed boating, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Todd Morrow; sister, Peggy Jackson; niece, Jackie Morrow; and other extended family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Merryfield; nieces, Julie Morrow, Kelly Jackson; brother, Jack Morrow; and her parents.

Memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
