Jason T. McGinn

Jason Todd McGinn, 51, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023.

Jason was born July 21, 1972, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Tom and Judith McGinn. He graduated from Newton High School. He worked in concrete until his health forced him to stop. Jason was an avid Iowa Hawkeye football fan. He enjoyed his family and friends and liked going out to dinner with his mom. Jason loved his dog, Baby. His favorite holiday was St. Patrick’s Day and he would always participate in the parade with his siblings.

He is survived by his mother, Judy McGinn; siblings, John (Sherry) McGinn, Jeff McGinn, and Amanda Sharp (Jason Smith); and nieces and nephews, Destinee, Makayla, Gavin, and Chase.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Tom McGinn.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City. Family invites you to join them for a luncheon following the burial held at Assembly Hall, 1250 NE 56th St., Pleasant Hill.
