John Holwell

John Joseph Holwell, Jr., of Pleasant Hill, IA, “moved on to Mayberry, North Carolina” on March 11, 2025.

John was born in 1949 in New York City. He graduated from William Penn College in Oskaloosa. He was the proud owner of Ebenezer Frog’s from 1984 – 2009. John married Mary (Kreager) Holwell in 1971, and they remained married until his death. A celebration will be held at a later date per John’s wishes. Instead of flowers, please consider donating to the Arbor Day Foundation or a charity of your choice.
