Jenny R. Groves

Jenny Rebekah Groves, 48, passed away Monday, February 6, 2024.

Jenny was born April 29, 1975, in Monmouth, Illinois to Ron and Nancy Groves. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching television and listening to music with her aunt, Shelly. You would always see her with a Diet Dr. Pepper in her hand and a bottle of hot sauce in her purse. She was known to the kids and everyone in the neighborhood as “Big Momma”. She attended Bible Missionary Church and started an every-other-Sunday service while she was a resident of the Rehab Center of Des Moines. She is now with her best friend, Lisa, in Heaven.

She is survived by her daughter, Emily (Lee) Wall; siblings, Doug (Marlene) Groves and Ben Groves; uncle, John (Shelly) Gilchrist; niece, Siarah Groves; and many other nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Nancy Groves and her brother, John Groves.

Jenny will be cremated and she will eventually be interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to family in care of John Gilchrist.
