Jaron Jon De Wild

October 18, 2023

Service Details

Jaron Jon De Wild, son of Jonathan and Kaitlyn De Wild, was born on October 18, 2023, already in the arms of Jesus. He was only 5 inches long and 1.6 oz, but he was perfect and beautiful, truly fearfully and wonderfully made.

He will be forever loved by his mommy and daddy, big sister, Aubrielle, and puppy, Rocky. Although Jaron’s life was short, Aubrie made sure she showed him every day how much we all loved him.

Jaron is greeted in heaven by an older sibling and his grandpa, Jarvis De Wild. He is mourned on earth by his grandma Shari De Wild; grandparents Ron and Sherri Horvat; great-grandmothers Sarah Horvat, Margery Bakker, and Harriet Kroese; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many dear friends.

We would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center downtown for the outstanding care and compassion they showed throughout Jaron’s delivery and our hospital stay; we would like to especially recognize Natalie, Shayla, Amanda, Natalie, and Amy. We would also like to thank our church Walnut Creek South, our community group, and our work families at Des Moines Christian School and KCL Engineering for all the love and support they have poured out to our family. Thank you to Walk With You for walking alongside us on this journey. Thank you to our family and friends for your prayers and generosity; we are humbled at the outpouring of love you’ve shown to us and the ways you’ve honored Jaron’s life.

Jaron, we love you and are so grateful for you and your life, no matter how brief it may have been. You have forever changed our hearts, and we can’t wait to one day be able to understand the full extent of how God will use your life for His good.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Walnut Creek South (3516 SE 14th Street, Des Moines, IA 50320). Please join the family for Jaron’s burial at Glendale Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. Following the burial, all are welcome for a brunch at Walnut Creek South.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Walk With You.
