Jeremy Michael Cory (“Jerry”)
July 12, 1969 – November 18, 2024

Jeremy Michael Cory, lovingly known as Jerry, 55, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024, in Iowa City, Iowa surrounded by his family.

Born July 12, 1969, Jerry graduated from Ballard High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the Iowa National Guard, earning an honorable discharge. He dedicated 25 years of his career to Bridgestone/Firestone.

Jerry will be remembered as a loving father, son, and brother. His greatest joy and proudest accomplishment in life are his two children, Allison Kohrt (Kirklyn) and Andrew (AJ) Cory, who brought light and happiness to his days.

He is survived by his two beloved children; his brothers, Joseph Cory and Jason Bailey; his sisters, Maryan Ullah, Julianne Davis (Rob), Aimy Cory, and Leslie Cabrera-Emmert (Jon); as well as nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Cory and his mother, Doris Bailey-Olson.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a man who brought love and kindness to all who knew him.

Jerry’s love for his family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
