James Nathaniel Beechum, age 64, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at Broadlawns Medical Center.

James was born November 30, 1959, in Muscatine, Iowa to Vernon (Vida) and Margaret (Wright) Beechum (all deceased).

He was preceded in death by brothers, Michael, Douglas and Dennis, and sister, Doris.

He is survived by his siblings: Richard, Merrill, Eloise, Jackie, Monte (William), Dietra and Sandy; son: Dachary; daughters: Misty, Jaleesa (Robert), Pamela and Brooke; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, who all held a special place in his heart.

James lived a full life. He enjoyed cooking especially BBQ chicken and ribs were his favorite! Fishing, camping and shooting pool were some of his favorite hobbies. James had an infectious personality everyone grew to love him, spending time with friends and family is what he loved most of all. He will be missed by many.

Cremation will occur and there will be no formal services held at this time.
