Julie A. Andrews

Julie A. Andrews was called to her heavenly home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 1st, 2024.

Julie aka Jules / Mom / Mama / Mimi was born in Creston, Iowa on September 27, 1960.

Julie graduated from Maryville High School in 1978. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim, on November 17, 1978. Together, they raised 3 children: Ashley, Jeana and August. The family spent many years living in Iowa before relocating to Texas in 2000 and then returning home to Iowa in 2021.

Julie enjoyed riding the motorcycle with Jim and many friends throughout the years. She loved spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling, most recently to Israel in April 2023. Julie loved her three children exponentially and was also a mother figure to many others throughout the years.

One of Julie’s most cherished roles was that of Mimi to her 3 granddaughters. Julie introduced Kaylie to her love of football and shopping, JoJo to her love of reading and the nail salon and Sovereign to her love of sparkly shoes and chocolate chip pancakes.

Julie is survived by her 3 children, Ashley and Jeana of Iowa, August of Virginia, and 3 granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her husband Jim and her parents.

Due to the number of people who loved Julie in Texas as well as the Midwest, the family is honoring her memory with a Celebration of Life service in both Ankeny, Iowa and Prosper, Texas.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, March 9th, 2024, at Keystone Church, 5525 NE Delaware Ave, Ankeny, IA 50021. The family will receive friends after the service.

The second service to honor Julie’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 15th, at Prestonwood Baptist Church North Campus, 1001 Prosper Trail, Prosper TX 75078. The family will receive friends after the service.
