Harold was a dear friend of mine. We had many great adventures together including a magical weekend in New York with his daughter Heather. I loved his intellectual curiosity about so many things. I take comfort in knowing he is with the Lord. I pray the same for his family and friends

Harold, or Harry as I knew him, and I were close friends growing up in Hudson. We found ourselves in the same classes in school and shared summertime work and play experiences. Harold’s need for work and adventure rivaled mine. We swept floors and washed buses together after school. On weekends and summer days we roamed the woods along Black hawk creek, making trails, building rustic shelters, and looking for critters. On one escapade Harold, my brother and I floated down the creek during a flood. In a failed attempt to navigate around a fallen tree, the boat flipped and we ended up in the water. The details of how we got out are forgotten, though I’m sure they were related to Harold’s resourcefulness in times of crises. In later years Harold would make surprise unannounced visits to our home, once as far away as Tucson, Arizona. They were always great opportunities to reconnect and trade stories. He will be missed.

Harold was not only a trustworthy and knowledgable CPA that done our taxes over many years but also a good friend. We are going to miss our annual visits with him to hear his humorous stories of his past years experiences.
Rest in peace old friend.
