Gregory Richard Boggs

Gregory Richard Boggs, 51, passed away at home on April 14th, 2024. He was born in Des Moines on March 11th, 1973, to Greg and Diane Boggs.

Greg attended North High School and worked at the Food Bank of Iowa as a warehouseman. He previously worked for Briggs Forms and Supplies in West Des Moines.

Greg enjoyed the outdoors. He had a passion for fishing and camping. Greg was a sports enthusiast, and he loved rooting for his favorite NFL team, The Kansas City Chiefs. He regularly took trips to Arrowhead Stadium over the last few decades. He was also a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, and also rooted for The Kansas City Royals. Greg was an Iowa Hawkeye fan since birth.
Greg loved music and enjoyed going to concerts. He liked listening to rock, metal and hip-hop.

Greg is survived by his daughter, Megan; his mother, Diane Schaefer, step-father, Bill Schaefer; brother, Jason and many cousins and loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Greg.

Memorial service will be held from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St in Des Moines.

Attendees are encouraged to wear sports apparel in honor of Greg.
