Geneva Middleton

Geneva Mae Middleton (Wiseman), age 98, of Maple Grove, MN passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Rose Arbor Wildflower Lodge Memory Care. She was born in Palmyra, MO on April 27, 1925, the daughter of Willie Franklin and Freda Belle (Dillard) Wiseman.
She was united in marriage to Albert Middleton on June 6, 1946.

She is survived by her son Dennis (Tracy) Middleton of Maple Grove, MN, four grandchildren, Sean (Danielle) Middleton, Ian (Kellie) Middleton, Angela (Larry) Dunn, and Amy Middleton, four great grandchildren, Lilly Middleton, Tristan, Abigail and Madelyn Dunn, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert Middleton, son Jerry Middleton, and siblings, Earl (Hazel) Wiseman, James Wiseman, Elizabeth (Bill) Shults, and William Wiseman in infancy.

Geneva graduated from Gem City College, Quincy, IL, in 1945. She was employed briefly as an Accountant by both Moorman Mfg. Co. in Quincy, IL and Principal Life Insurance Co. in Des Moines, IA until engaging in farming for the rest of her life. She was deeply devoted to both her faith and her family, and found great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, and women’s religious retreats.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
