Frederico Ceon Thompson

Frederico Ceon Thompson, 45, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

Frederico was born March 21, 1979, in Des Moines, Iowa to Frederick Verdayne Thompson and Joann Carter. He attended North High School in Des Moines. Frederico was very creative and good at working with his hands. He started working on cars with his father when he was just a child and enjoyed racing R. C. Cars. He was mechanically inclined and could work on anything with a motor. He liked all types of sports and was a bicycle specialist.

He is survived by his father, Frederick Thompson; siblings, Bryant Thompson, Barron Thompson, Nicole Carter, and Eric Thompson; the mother of his son, Mindy Shields; his only granddaughter, Carson Washington; significant other, Kurstin Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.

Frederico was preceded in death by his mother, Joann Carter and his son, Frederico Ceon Thompson.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family to assist with expenses.
