Fred Bolton Pease

Fredrick “Fred” Bolton Pease, age 75, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Fred was born March 22, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert and Berene (Bolton) Pease. He was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. Fred graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1966. While attending Roosevelt, Fred participated in golf. Following graduation, he attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Fred worked for many years with Bill Marlenee, a Des Moines coin dealer.

Fred was married to Jean Dillard on May 26, 1979, at First United Methodist Church. They attended Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church.

Fred was preceded in death by his father Robert, mother Berene, and sister Barbara Corso Ewing. Survivors include his wife Jean, nephew David Ewing of Florida, and niece Shelley Ewing of Des Moines.

Burial will take place at Hauser Cemetery in Union, Iowa.
