Elizabeth Young, 68, passed away on November 20, 2023 at UnityPoint Methodist Hospital.
Elizabeth was born on January 19, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa to James and Betty (Brown) Finken. Beth worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years.
She loved all animals, especially horses.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Renee Short; grandchildren, Nick, Patrick, Zachary, Samantha, and Todd, Jr.; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Ferrari and Sarah Finken; brother, Joe Finken; and good friend and ranch hand, Greg “Oly” Olson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will greet friends on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
