Red Randolph

Edward “Red” Eugene Randolph, age 81, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at the VA Hospital in Des Moines.
Red was born February 20, 1943, to Raymond and Louise Randolph.
He proudly served in the United States Navy, stationed in Guam and then in California, where his met the love of his life, Gloria. They were married on December 19, 1965. They moved back to Iowa to raise their family. Red lived life to the fullest and always did things his way. He loved his family deeply.
Red was a talented artist and a self-employed sign painter, owning Randolph Signs since 1978. He enjoyed fishing and boxing. Above all, he loved time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gloria Randolph; son, Mark (Danyell) Randolph; daughter, Karina Busch; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Dixie Randolph, Donna Grant, Sheila Gentosi, and Terri (Bill) Stevens; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Red was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Louise Randolph; and his sister, Patty Randolph.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50309. Urn burial with military honors will take place at 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, Iowa 50003.
