Denis Lee Kramme

Denis Lee Kramme, 65, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 12, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa to his parents, Harold and Lara (Swalla) Kramme.

Denis was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He graduated from Saydel High School in 1977. Denis was a master mechanic and loved all things with motors. He especially loved motorcycles and racing. Denis had a soft heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone that might stop by his home.

He survived by his wife, Teressa Kramme; son, Brian (Mindy) Kramme of Cedar Falls, IA; step-daughter, Stacey Lloyd of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren; mother, Lara Kramme; brothers, Kirt (Deanna) Kramme of Waukee, IA and Drexel (Penny) Kramme of Mercer, MO; sister Keely (Marlin) Kruse of Phoenix, AZ; and a host of family and a community of dear friends.

Denis was preceded in death by his father, Harold.

Family will greet friends Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the family in loving memory of Denis Kramme.
