Deborah “Deb” Ann Craven, 71, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1953 in Lexington, Missouri to Nicholas and Maxine (Phillips) Deamos. She grew up in Lexington before moving to Des Moines in the early 1970s.
A dedicated dental assistant for 26 years, Deb was known for her passion for her work, forming close bonds with many of her patients, many of whom became lifelong friends. She had a natural gift for making others feel cared for, and her warm, healing spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Deb was deeply kind-hearted and spent much of her time nurturing relationships with friends and family. Travel was a passion, and Colorado held a special place in her heart as her favorite destination.
Above all, Deb was a devoted grandmother. She treasured the moments spent with her grandchildren and took great pride in being an active part of their lives. Known for her heart of gold, she was always ready to lend a helping hand, showing unconditional love to all and never letting anyone question how much they meant to her.
A woman of deep faith, Deb was a faithful member of All Saints Church for more than 10 years, where her unwavering devotion to God was evident in all aspects of her life.
Deb will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her daughter, Erica (Tracy) Burton; stepson, Scotty Craven; grandchildren, Nicholas and Chase Burton; loving partner of 36 years, David Bell; daughter, Ashley Bell; brother, Michael (Gail) Deamos; and many nieces and nephews.

My deepest sympathy and loving support to you, Erica, to Dave, and to all the family and friends of our dear Debbie! It was such a blessing to be counted among her many friends. Now Deb is welcomed by all her loved ones in heaven including my dear sister Elaine. Deb was a faithful catechist to our young students preparing for the sacraments at (then) Visitation Rel.Ed., now Our Lady of the Americas. Her deep faith and joyful spirit shone brightly even on cloudy days.
I SO regret I am physically unable to join you for her services to thank God for Debbie's life and offer my support to you. Please be assured I will be with you in spirit and prayer. Sister Elaine and I loved Debbie so and always will. May the peace and awesome joy Deb now experiences in the presence of her faithful God comfort each of you! Even as you mourn your loss, may you also feel some of her peace and comfort as we walk our Lenten journey and look forward to our own resurrection, Jesus' promise to us who believe in Him!
Love and deepest sympathy,
Jeanie Hagedorn, chm

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. Revelation 21:4
