Debbie Logan

Debbie Ann Logan, 61, passed away January 9, 2025.

She was born December 22, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa to her parents, Charles “Tom” and Vivian Overton. Debbie came from a large family with four sisters and a brother. She had great sense of humor and never met a stranger. Debbie cherished her friends and considered them family members. She was her son’s biggest cheerleader. Debbie was very supportive of his hobbies and interests in music and sports.

Debbie is survived by her son, Thomas (Liz Loya) Logan; grandchildren, Julian M. Vega and Alejandra Vega; mother, Vivian Overton; siblings, Rick (Mary) Overton, Tammy Cooklin-Tounsley, and Cathy Fisher; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles “Tom” Overton; and sisters, Donna Overton and Judy Summers.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Walnut Woods State Park Lodge.

I’m so sorry to hear about Debbie’s passing. We met at Wellmark in 1988 and have been friends since. I will always remember her laugh and love for her family, friends and music. She was a great friend and will definitely be missed! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Thomas, while your mom liked to push the Chiefs down my throat, not really, she was a great encouragement to me with her faith in Jesus. Comfort to you and all of the family.
