Margaret “DeDe” Delia Fafinski

Margaret “DeDe” Delia Fafinski, age 89, passed away peacefully at Wesley on Grand on Friday, November 24, 2023.

DeDe was born July 23, 1934, in Davenport, Iowa to Robert T. and Sigerid L. (Yivisaker) Jacobsen.

DeDe was a graduate of Grinnell College and married to James Frederick Michael Fafinski, who preceded her in death.

DeDe and Jim were faithful Jehovah’s Witnesses at the Southern Hills congregation and enjoyed many years of sharing the Bible message with others, as well as the privilege of serving at the Watchtower Headquarters for several years.

DeDe valued reading the Bible every day and loved creation and gardening, she will be remembered for her warm smile and friendly personality.

DeDe will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jim, at Jordan Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
