David Dwayne Kennedy

David Kennedy, age 61, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Iowa Methodist Hospital. He was born the son of John and Connie Kennedy on May 14, 1962, in Carroll, Iowa.
David began working at Woodward State Hospital at the age of 18 and later became a foreman at IBP. David was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. His favorite past times included cooking, baking, and grilling for family and friends. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping and fishing. Most importantly, he loved being with his family.
He is lovingly survived by his sons Jonathon (Crystal) Kennedy and Rosco (Leila) Kennedy, daughter Melina Callahan, grandchildren Sam, Adrianna, Julian, Lilyanna, Madison, Jaydeson, Jaython, Azara, and Ivy, brother Randy (LaDonna) Kennedy, sisters Julie Smith-Kennedy, Janel Kennedy, Jill (Chris) Johansen, and girlfriend Pam Mosley.
David was preceded in death by his parents John and Connie Kennedy, brother Michael Kennedy, and nephew Matthew Spaulding.
Celebration of David’s Life will be held at a later date.

So very sry for the family. I loved dave so much! He was my best friend. He was so strong and kind and a soldier. We talked almost everyday for hours sometimes. I miss him so so much. Until we meet again dave. I know ur watching over me....i can feel it. I love u my good friend!

Dave was a great friend, who I've known for over 20 years! He was loved by many and would do anything for his friend's & family! He left this world way too soon & will be dearly missed! Until we meet again my friend
