Daniel "Dan" Irving Gross

Daniel “Dan” Irving Gross passed away at his home on November 15, 2023 at the age of 63.

Dan was born March 10, 1960 to Harold and Marguerite (Terrell) Gross in Des Moines. He was currently employed at Accumold in Ankeny. Dan enjoyed the beautiful weather and colors that fall brings. He also enjoyed fishing and listening to music, especially the blues. Dan loved food of all kinds, anything spicy, pastas and prime rib were amongst his favorites.

Dan is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Lucas) Hernandez; grandchildren, Dylan, Joselyn, Lucas and Nicholas Hernandez; siblings, Norman (Gerda) Gross, Janeen (Sheldon) Woodson, Joann (Terry) Edwards and Paul (Bobbi) Gross; nephew, Kenneth (Tiffany) Gross; niece, Michelle Gadbury; great-nieces and great-nephews, Tinley Gross, Matthew Gadbury Devonte Veasley and Itayzia Houston; great-great-niece, Jhene Veasley; aunts, Elizabeth Gross, Carol Terrell, Gloria Terrell and Kathleen Terrell; as well as a host of extended family and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his nephew, Jason Veasley.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by a time of light refreshments and fellowship celebrating Dan’s life.
