Dixie Wagner

Dixie Lynn Wagner, age 72, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Granger Nursing and Rehab in Granger, Iowa.

Dixie was born March 5, 1952, in Ohio to Charles and Thelma (Stewart) Collins.

She enjoyed being outside in nature and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. Dixie loved her family and spending time with her grandkids. She was an animal lover with a special fondness for dogs.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Black of Des Moines; son, Steven Collins of Fort Rucker, Alabama; sister, Niki Dunham-Mihm of Bonita Springs, Florida; three grandchildren, Dylan Black of Newton, Iowa, Jacob Black of Des Moines, Iowa, and Ciara Black of Des Moines, Iowa.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Thelma Collins; sister, Donna Jobes of Ohio; and her husband, Don Wagner.

Dixie will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Dixie.
